2021 Gear Guide

After some of my larger takes this year I have gotten multiple questions about the gear I have been using and how its holding up. Most of the gear I use was purchased in 2020 and has been with me for the last two seasons. Below is a list of the wearables and their lifespan

Camo - Strata

Boots - Cabella’s 4” Thinsulate in Strada

Pack - Badlands 2200

Bow - Vintage 1990’s Hoyt Compound Bow

Rifle - Tikka T3 .243 with Handmade Leather and Rabbit Strap

For post hunt activities we’ve invested in a Cabella’s commercial vac sealer to store our harvest. I have also been beta testing some of 73 Forges’ top of the line stainless steel and high-carbon blades. Including a custom made field processing hatchet, that I love. Steve was able to custom design the handle to fit me perfectly and make it ultra-light to trim weight in my pack.

My wearables have been through two highly active seasons and new shirts, pants and boots will be required next season. The Redhead outerwear I purchased last year will probably last another couple winters.
