Coyote

Coyotes can be found everywhere throughout North America. They are one of the staples of many ecosystems as predators and scavengers. Since the decline of wolves coyote populations have skyrocketed. Our guided coyote hunts take place on public and private land to ensure healthy numbers.

Raccoon

These mammals are highly intelligent and resourceful. Their great adaptability has allowed them to flourish throughout history and in almost all environments. They are one of the most common “pest” animals in Northern California.

Skunk

With no natural predators, skunks have become one of the most invasive and populous pests in North America.

Beaver

The beaver is the largest rodent in North America, weighing up to 50lbs as an adult. Beavers are slow and clumsy on land, but agile and quick in the water. Their dams can cause destruction even on well maintained farmland sometimes making them dangerous to herds and agriculture.

Opossum

A very cautious nocturnal mammal, Opossums may play dead to escape predators. They do help regulate tick populations. While they will never be mistaken for cute, their fur is very soft and was often used to line the inside of jacket collars.

Grey Fox

One of the cutest small game animals. As a very cautious nocturnal mammal, most Californians have never seen one. Commonly mistaken for a small or young Coyote.

And More…

There are lots of other small mammals that fall into the small game category that are not common to California and surrounding areas. But can sometimes be found as a fluke amongst our rich wildlife
